Agape exists to serve our community. Our primary service to the community is partnering with our clients. On this page we share stories and thank you letters we have received from our clients, partners, and donors.
Come Celebrate with us the accomplishments of our clients and what God is doing at Agape. We want to share the Joy that only comes from Agape (God’s Love).
Stories are generated either by clients or the counselors that have worked with them. If it is a penned by a counselor, although based on a real person or common themes, the names, gender, age, and other identifying information will be changed.Stories penned by clients will be their words, and may possibly have some edits from us to make sure they stay anonymous.Thank you letters are edited only to keep client and therapist anonymous.
Generous donor;
It was such an honor to choose Cole’s Grace Project as the The Orchard’s VBS mission offering for 2016. The children were so excited each evening when they put their money in the offering basket. Their enthusiasm was so contagious that the adults also brought offerings each evening.
Through the purity of our children’s heart in giving, it is our prayer, that their offerings will be blessed mightily by God and will be used to help many children and God’s loving arms will surround their sweet, precious, but broken spirits.
We know God can make them whole again.
Thank You Letters
I came to see you several years ago. You guided me through my struggle with porn and gave me scriptures and new ways to live my life to stop old behaviors. You do not know how much you helped me and my marriage. My wife and I are so much closer and stronger now than we ever have been. We are going to celebrate 20 years this December. She did not leave me because she saw that I was working to change. I have shared my struggle with porn and how by only the grace of God that I was able to overcome my sin. This Sunday during worship my pastor has asked me to share my testimony. Please be in prayer for me so that my witness will touch lives for eternity this Sunday. I never dreamed that this day would come. Forever I will be grateful that God put you in my path. May God bless all you do.

I’ve been a client of Agape counseling for several months. I sought counseling services after 4 years of life-altering events, realizing I needed help learning how to deal with depression, hopelessness, loss of life-long personal relationships and a threatening future. Agape was recommended by a friend from church who is also an Agape counselor.
My counselor has been a source of encouragement and strength, giving me homework assignments of reading, internet searches of various emotional and relationship topics, journaling, exploring my roots and my dreams and the realization of who I am and the tremendous possibilities for my future. I always look forward to my next assignment!
The most important value my counselor has taught me to know in every fiber of my being is that I am precious in God’s eyes, that I am His and I am the most loved daughter (of His) I have always been. He is the only one I need to focus on, certainly not an abusive relationship. I have learned to see myself as God sees me.
I’ve been in counseling for many years but I’ve never been given the tools to deal with life’s curve balls as I have with Agape counseling. I’m certain I would not be alive today without the support of counseling services from Agape.
I would highly recommend Agape to anyone who needs supportive, encouraging Christian counseling.

I would like to declare how much the counseling I have received during these last 5 months has helped me with my grieving process. The fact that it is received from a Christian perspective to me means that God is speaking to me through the person I am seeing. It is wonderful to end each session in prayer to our Lord. I am slowly gaining a sense of my identity in Christ and I know that I am going to be fine. I know that God has my best in store.

Client Stories
A young pre-teen female walked through strong feelings related to the divorce of her parents and her father’s dating and second marriage. Her level of anxiety was high as she struggled to cope with these life changes. Today, she manages her anxiety well, copes better with change, and stands up for herself in relationships.
Agape Counseling extends a big thank you to Camp Fire for sharing the Feeling Buddies program with us. Camp Fire donated two boxes containing four sets of Feeling Buddies and equipment for two complete programs. Children have come into my office, spotted the Feeling Buddies and immediately started to play with them and talk about various feelings. Using the CD and other parts of the program material helps children feel comfortable with their own feelings and increasingly able to talk about and manage them.
